Mediation
is a conflict solving process based on certain techniques.
As a third person, considering both parties’ sides, the mediator supports each conflict party in clarifying their
positions and interests as well as expressing their respective feelings and needs in a protected atmosphere.
The aim of such a mediation process is the co-operative draft of an optimal solution for all participants.
In contrast, partial solutions or compromises often only lead to dissatisfaction and frustration.
Intercultural mediation supports a constructive way of dealing with cultural barriers and differences.
